We hear so many people say that they "need a break" that they are tired, that they "deserve" a vacation, time off etc. I would like to pay tribute to the workers at Possibilitees. Without breaking confidentiality, I would like to point out that just out of the small Possibilitees "WOW" group- 7 young adults- that in just two years- there have been three life threatening surgeries, 3 orthopedic surgeries, and one more scheduled for next week. Look at these pictures - see the smiles. These are the heroes we should honor - we should make as our "New Year's Resolution" that we work as hard as they do, smile and laugh as they do with their whole hearts, and that we become as determined as they are.
One of the next challenges? THEY NEED A NEW WORKSITE. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY NEGOTIATING THEIR WORK AREAS IN A WHEELCHAIR BECAUSE BUSINESS HAS GROWN, MORE MACHINES ARE PRESENT, MORE INVENTORY, AND LESS SPACE. They show up for work, ready to produce, sometimes while recovering from health issues, even in casts- and on top of that, they must worry about safely moving around their work site. That is the next challenge- new work site, as these 7 young people also face lifelong medical problems.
Look at these pictures- see their smiles. Kudos to those who want to help them find a new larger, safer, work site. These kids are the real heroes!
