I'm Linda, Megan's mom. A friend set up this blog. I thought it was important to show young people with real obstacles going to a job they love, making a product, and getting paid fair wages. In turn, I am encouraging my kid to spend it wisely in her neighborhood stores, give to local charities, and use her money to socialize with friends. As a parent, I think those are important skills to learn. I will not always be around, I like the idea that Megan is a little more independent and able to speak for herself. Her self esteem has shot up due to PossibiliTees. Since she is always in the community, I hope that others will also look out for her when I am gone. As a parent of a disabled child, I haven't pushed her for 16 years to have her hide in the house and wait for a program. Just like my other daughter, I am pushing Megan to get out there and LIVE.
